Lesion of Landscape
My current work, the Lesion of Landscape series, explores various perspectives on superfluous materials used in everyday life, particularly plastic. Through unique techniques, I transform and layer these materials to create abstract compositions that that interweave color, light and shadow, and highlight the material properties of plastic. The distinct textures of plastic contribute to a visually captivating new environment—one that remains inseparably tied to the meaning of its materials, which irreversible, ecological transformation of our world.
This series represents lesions that have been inflicted upon the landscape. Just as wounds alter the human body, landscapes—both natural and urban—bear the marks of change, whether from pollution, natural disasters, or human intervention. The work highlights the fragility of the environment and the lasting impact of these transformations on both living and non-living systems.
